TUTORIAL: This tutorial will show you how to set up your work [in Photoshop] to get the best printing possible. All you need is a calculator and Photoshop (I used CS, but this will work with older versions as well.) This is my first tut, so I hope you like it.

**UPDATE!** This tutorial has been posted at [link] I am honored b/c I visit this site on an almost daily basis. Thanks, guys!**

this is really helpful! thanks!

on the presentation:
if you'd like to make your tut even better, i'd suggest you don't scale the screenshots down. i cant read a thing thats in those boxes and it would be easier to follow if i could (especially for newbies ;))
and i would use another font - tahoma or verdana for example have been designed especially for pc-reading. try it, you'll see what i mean ;)

but the idea and the explanation is good!
keep it up!

Thanks very much for your suggestions! Yeah, I was disappointed when I saw that the screen shots weren't big enough. I was afraid that that might happen, which is why I wrote down the numbers in the tutorial to be on the safe side.

Thanks again for the input!

The artist, like the mother, is truly cursed with greatness.
glad you didnt take it the wrong way ;)

just see to it that they're big enough next time (let the text flow to the left or right if you dont want them to take up too much space) and you will be alright! hope to read more from you!

So thats why all my images look awful when they're printed! Thanks, might start printing these abstract renders and stick em in my locker :)

The most likely way for the world to be destroyed, most experts agree, is by accident. That's where we come in; we're computer professionals. We cause accidents.

thanks mate, ideal for the printing of my final piece for my graphics course, you've saved my life (i need A3 and it's only crisp at below A4 size!)
oh wow, thanks so much. you have saved my art course. i need to print off a massive A3 vector and it wasn't coming out sharp at all! this is exactly what i needed, :+fav: for sure.

Thanks for that, that was very informative!

Live today or don't live at all...
Great tutorial, very useful. :)
or maybe not - it won't work!
The default image size width is in Cm, but i change this to inches as used in your tut, and follow the rest of the steps, but it makes the damn thing smaller - i need it to go A3! What's going on?
